As of 1st October 2008 any property put on the rental market must have an EPC.

What is an EPC?

An energy performance certificate also known as an EPC is a document detailing the energy efficiancy of a property shown on a scale from A to GIt is produced following an energy survey of the propertyOnly a qualified domestic energy assessor (dDEA) can complete the survey needed to produce the EPCThe DEA will will analyze the approximate year of construction, the size of the property, what heating and hot water systems are present. the glazing and lighting present, loft and construction insulation.The completed certificate also provides suggestions on how to improve the efficiancy and the co2 emmisions of the property from low cost measures such as installing low energy light bulbs to cavity wall insulation if applicableThese will lead to reduced co2 emissions and lower energy billsEPCs are included in all our HIP packs

How long does the survey take?

The survey takes approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the size of the property

How soon am I able to get an EPC?

We aim to get a DEA to you within 3 days of instructionThe EPC will be sent to you via email within 24hours of the survey being done
